Who does GOswim cater to?

What are the benefits?
It's never too early or late to learn how to swim! Our program ensures students learn and understand personal survival and water safety elements at all ages.

What are the Membership Fees?
Membership fees are due and payable via direct debit. This fee covers the cost of the lesson and holds the student’s place in class. A separate document detailing terms and conditions related to direct debit payments is available from reception.
GOSWIM Lessons are $20.80 per child per lesson
Establishment fees of $20 apply per family
Additions children or lessons per week will have a discounted rate - please talk to reception or call the centre.
What are the essentials for each lesson?
Essential for GOswim lessons include:
- A towel
- A well, non-contagious student
- Goggles or cap, if the student prefers
- A swim nappy if your child is not toilet trained
- A happy and cheery smile with lots of energy
- Students membership card and rewards card
What happens if we miss a lesson?
Call the centre prior to lesson to let them know you cannot make it. They will dicuss the Make Up policy* with you.

What do I need to bring to the gym?
We have a no towel, no workout policy, which means you must bring a towel with you on each visit, to sit on and use to wipe down the equipment you use after you are done using it.
You need to wear closed in runners/shoes to protect your feet.
Wear comfotable, non-restructive clothes to exercise in. T-shirts, tights, shorts, singlets and the like are perfect training wear.
I've never been to a gym. Is there someone who can help me?
Yes! We have qualified trainers on the floor who can help you at all times. We also give you 5 free sessions with us so we can guide you through exercise and write you a program you can follow when you come in. How old do I have to be to join the Health Club?
Children as young as 11 are welcome to join Whitlam Health Club. We have a specialised membership called Teen Gym which shows teens how to exercise safely and effectively. We also offer Teen Gym sessions each week with a Personal Trainer - subject to availability.
How long is the membership contract?
We do not have lock-in contracts, so you can stay as long or as little as you like.
I'm a senior - is there a discount?
Yes! We offer significant discounts for those 50 years of age and above.
Do I need medical clearance?
Seeking medical advice is a great idea before starting any exercise if you are new to exercise and have had health concerns in the past, or even now.

Do you have a weights room?
Yes! We have a comprehensive weights area including a rig and bumper plates, plus machine weights, cables and free weights. Everything you need is right here.
